As some may have heard, True Detective's season 3 just wrapped up filming recently in Fayetteville, Arkansas. When casting put out a call early last year, it was big news for northwest Arkansas, but the show has finally finished and it's been a lot of fun for those of us who were privileged enough to meet some of the cast and/or crew.
We were lucky enough to have some of the crew stay in our vacation rental over the last 5 months or so. They were excellent guests, even celebrating with fireworks on our property July 4th. I didn't envy them their schedules, though--they worked until late at night every night except most weekends. I really don't know how they do it! I hope the producer appreciates their hard work!
We're anxious to see the show, to see if we recognize faces from our area and to see the sites they used to film the show. From what I understand, they used a lot of vintage cars for the set, and I even saw some of them parked outside their set location near Drake Field, the Fayetteville general aviation airport.
